Yes kids are in the zone with electronic technology and if they are interested they can delve into film, tv, and anything else. Never know what they might invent/create/discover/uncover while they are mucking around.
Go for it!

My (almost) 4 year old uses the iSight webcam on the apple macbook to make youtube style consumer reviews of his Transformers toys through the iMovie application. We use the real youtube transformers reviews to work out how to change them from robots to cars ( I swear Rubic's cube was easier!) and that's where he got the idea to make his own TV review. I have a friend who shields her daughter from new technology and only allows her to read paper books and draw pencil on paper. She's worried that electronic media will stunt her intellectual growth. I disagree and it seems a little Amish to me. Give a child a video camera and watch them grow into the world they'll inhabit.

Definately, I give my boys a video camers and they make their own movies to put on you tube for their friends. They are usually just stunt or sports clips, however as they are gettting older I encourage them to make more informative clips. Its a good way to learn and have fun.

Of the Public schools in the area, Newbridge Heights has an excellent reputation. Holsworthy has a very good Kindergarten program. Both Wattle Grove and Hammondville are very good schools too.
