I get my child in grade 2 to do a bit a homework 2-3 times a week, based on what I feel is important at this stage (I would have liked more communication on what to work on with my child at home). We discuss his reader books and do a casual oral comprehension session, so he is learning without really having to sit down and keep time aside for homework.See More

Have two children in primary school in grade 2 and prep, and both parents work full time. I like being involved in my children's learning and have found my school to be a helpful site for ideas to extend my children's learning.

Of the Public schools in the area, Newbridge Heights has an excellent reputation. Holsworthy has a very good Kindergarten program. Both Wattle Grove and Hammondville are very good schools too.
