Yes but... isn't that the point? If kids in Qld dont' do as well compared with kids in other states, and the reason is for example that they don't have as high academic goals as in other states, then that's very useful…

Flaws in comparing NAPLAN results between states.

We are moving towards a National Curriculum but what everyone seems to be ignoring is that we still do not have a National Starting Age. Queensland has introduced Prep but the students are 4 when they can start, therefore by the time they are completing the NAPLAN tests they are a year younger than their interstate counterparts. Of the Public schools in the area, Newbridge Heights has an excellent reputation. Holsworthy has a very good Kindergarten program. Both Wattle Grove and Hammondville are very good schools too.
