Comment by T. Stafidas on March 4, 2011 at 10:11am: Jordan, as part of an enrolment selection process for kindy, I dont think a photo should be necessary at this stage. Why would the selectors need to see a photo of the entire family? surely "looks" are not a selection criteria...or is it?

I have enrolled my child into 3 schools and only this one wanted a family photo which I thought was unecessary.

I'd imagine a family photo would allow the school/teachers etc to identify you and others who might be picking your child up from school, etc. Sounds like a reasonable request. I don't think it is an issue that should cause you distress
